Disability Access Services (DAS) is seeking a detail-oriented and technology-focused Alternative Text Editor/Assistive Technology Support team member to help ensure equitable access to instructional materials for students with disabilities. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Assistive Technology, this position coordinates the acquisition, conversion, and remediation of course materials, including textbooks, PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, tests, and other academic content into accessible alternative formats such as e-text, large print, Braille, and tactile graphics. The role requires collaboration with Assistive Technology and E-Text specialists to ensure materials are compatible with a variety of assistive technology software and devices.
In addition to document accessibility work, this position supports students and departmental operations through collaboration with DAS staff and assistive technology professionals to identify and provide appropriate accommodation resources. The successful candidate will have opportunities to assist students with assistive technology training and support while also contributing to daily office operations.
