This position will execute the day-to-day activities and tasks required to lead multidisciplinary teams in the development, implementation, and delivery of Alternative Delivery transportation projects, regardless of transportation mode and regardless of funding source. This includes making decisions regarding impact to the public interest (cost and time vs. best engineering judgment) for questions of procedure, material selection, methods of construction, use of innovative procedures and construction staging. This position leads multi-disciplinary teams to develop, implement and deliver alternative contracts such as Design-Build, Express Design-Build Bridges, Progressive Design-Build, Sponsorship, CM/GC projects and Public Private Partnerships for assigned projects during the pre-construction phase to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, according to the project budget and the products prepared meet quality expectations.

Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC 20 $70,478 - $123,336

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
