Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Dallas seeks an experienced Tailor/Fitter to provide expert alterations and exceptional service to customers.

You will measure, fit, and alter garments, deliver on time, and collaborate with the Alterations & Store Team while following Nordstrom guidelines. Prior fitting and sewing experience is preferred; strong communication and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and complete sewing alterations on time.
• Meet department and personal productivity goals following Nordstrom guidelines.
• Utilize store technology to manage and organize alteration requests.
• Collaborate with Alterations & Store Team to deliver service.
• Educate customers and employees on proper fit, construction, and trend.
