Job summary

Von Maur is seeking an Alterations Associate to service our customers by altering diverse styles of women’s garments, from beaded formal dresses to tailored pieces. You will measure, fit, pin, sew, and prepare garments for pickup, disassemble and reassemble as needed, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Competence in basic and advanced alterations.
• Ability to measure, mark, pin and sew garments per specifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver courteous service.
• Measure, fit, mark and pin garments per specifications.
• Disassemble, sew and reassemble garments to measurements.
• Prepare garments using iron/steamer.
• Repair damaged merchandise.
• Maintain a clean department and work area.
