Job summary

RBC Wealth Management-US is expanding its Alternative Investments Product team in Minneapolis. The role focuses on accelerating advisor and client adoption of alternative strategies via direct advisor support, product expertise, and collaboration with divisional sales consultants.

The position requires at least 5 years in financial markets with exposure to alternatives, strong Salesforce skills, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of financial markets experience, with a preference for alternative investments and distribution in wealth management.
• Experience with alternative investments across drawdown and evergreen structures with ability to explain benefits/risks to advisors.
• Proficient with data manipulation and modeling, including Salesforce and ability to adapt to AI tools.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills; collaborative problem solving.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and to work at RBC’s US Wealth Management headquarters in Minneapolis 4 days/week.
• Licensing: securities licenses 7, 63, 65, or 66 or willingness to become licensed within 30–60 days.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth in platform assets through engagement with the alternative investment team and RBC Financial Advisors.
• Educate advisors on benefits/risks of alternative investments; provide expert advice on strategies, funds, and terms.
• Attend regional and national RBC events to share knowledge on RBC’s alternative investments.
• Maintain CRM data with daily interactions, notes, and client follow-ups.
• Route advisor inquiries to relevant support functions and become SME on platform tools and literature requests.
• Develop presentations and marketing materials; maintain a handbook of platform offerings on intranet.
