Job summary

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) seeks an ALSE Technician to inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul ALSE and installed survival equipment on aircraft. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical repair capability, adherence to GOPs and safety practices, and leadership to support detachment operations.

The technician will train personnel, manage equipment accountability, and ensure calibration and maintenance tasks are completed to support flight operations.

Qualifications

• 4 years of ALSE support and repair experience.
• PR A School graduate or equivalent MOS.
• Maintain ALSE repair skills including sewing and equipment buildup.
• Able to obtain SECRET clearance (NACLC/ANACI).
• Ability to supervise detachments and lead teams.
• Experience supervising complex maintenance actions.
• Enforce Ground Operating Procedures (GOP) and safety practices.
• Performance reviewed annually by supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair ALSE equipment.
• Plan and supervise ALSE operations including equipment accountability.
• Maintain ALSE records and disposal of unserviceable items.
• Establish performance standards per industry publications.
• Perform cleaning and preservation of ALSE tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair ALSE and related systems.
• Ensure TMDE calibration is scheduled and performed.
• Train maintenance personnel on ALSE tasks.
• Brief aircrew on proper ALSE use and maintenance.
• Coordinate ALSE support for detachments as needed.
