Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Transport Paramedic to assess and implement patient care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients during transport, following protocol and CAMTS standards. You will educate referral staff, patients, and families while maintaining accurate records.

Role requires Ohio EMT-P licensure, 1 year of EMT-P experience, and ACLS/PALS or related certifications within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio EMT-P licensure required.
• 1 year active EMT-P experience recommended.
• EVOC required.
• AHA BLS certification required upon hire.
• The candidate must maintain a valid Ohio driver license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EMT-Basic/Paramedic to provide direct patient care for neonate, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Perform airway management including intubation as needed.
• Maintain accurate transport records and follow-up data with the team.
• Ensure safe operation of the ground transport vehicle and environment for patient care.
• Check and restock drugs and supplies; verify biomedical equipment functionality.
• Comply with CAMTS requirements for certification, training and documentation.
