Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC seeks an EMT-Basic for the Lifelink ambulance service. You will perform patient care and transportation duties within an advanced life support team, obtain billing information, and document findings on patient care records.

Candidates must hold NC EMT-Basic, BLS, NIMS 100/200/700, and a valid driver's license. The role requires calm performance under pressure and the ability to work across emergency and non-emergency calls.

Qualifications

• Certification by the State of North Carolina as an EMT-Basic or EMT.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as sponsored by American Heart Association.
• Completion of NIMS 100, 200, & 700.
• Possess and maintain a current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, thoroughly clean, inventory, and restock the ambulance assigned and report any deficiencies observed.
• Inspect and clean areas assigned and assist in maintaining building and grounds in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
• Respond to calls and relocate locations as requested by supervisor or dispatcher.
• Handle both routine transfers and emergency calls.
• Provide medical care including airway and bleeding control, splinting, and bandaging when encountering patients.
• Drive an ambulance in a safe and smooth manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
