Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Emergency Medical Services in Fayetteville, NC, seeks an EMT with state certification to perform patient care and transportation within an advanced life support ambulance service. You will obtain billing information, document findings, and support both emergency and non-emergency transports.

The role requires NC EMT-Basic or EMT certification, BLS, NIMS 100/200/700, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Certification by the State of North Carolina as an EMT-Basic or EMT is required.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as sponsored by the American Heart Association is required.
Completion of NIMS 100, 200, & 700 is required.
Possess and maintain a current driver’s license.
1 year EMS/Rescue or related work experience preferred.
Working knowledge of emergency medical procedures, rescue techniques, hazardous material incidents, equipment and supplies used in pre-hospital care, and communications equipment.

Responsibilities

Inspect, clean, inventory, restock the ambulance; report deficiencies.
Clean and maintain assigned areas and building grounds.
Respond to calls; assist supervisor with location changes as needed.
Provide medical care including psychological support, airway management, bleeding control, splinting, bandaging.
Drive ambulance safely and smoothly following driving best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
