Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Raeford, NC, seeks a Paramedic to perform patient care and transportation within an ALS ambulance service, up to the level of NC-credentialed Paramedic. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic certification by the State of North Carolina required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Completion of NIMS 100, 200 and 700 for EMS department required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and update vital signs.
• Monitor patient’s respiratory status and provide oxygen therapy per protocol.
• Inspect, clean, inventory and restock the ambulance and report deficiencies.
• Perform suctioning and assist in airway management and ALS procedures.
• Drive ambulance safely and respond to routine transfers and emergencies.
