Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Paramedic to operate within a busy metropolitan ALS ambulance service, delivering emergency, non-emergency, and transport services. You will record billing data, document findings, and work under supervision of a Shift Supervisor and training officer.

Required NC Paramedic certification, BLS (AHA), and a valid driver's license; NIMS 100/200/700 completed. Prior ALS service experience is preferred and ongoing education is expected.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current NC Paramedic certification required.
• Current BLS certification by American Heart Association required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for EMS department.
• NIMS 100, 200, & 700 completed for EMS department.
• Experience with an advanced life support service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains/records/updates vital signs and monitors respiratory status.
• Performs ALS skills and procedures per certification.
• Drives an ambulance safely and maintains a NC driver’s license.
• Responds to calls including routine transfers and emergency calls.
• Maintains and inventories equipment and restocks the ambulance.
• Attends continuing education classes and trains regularly.
