Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a seasoned Investment Risk-ALM Professional to shape asset and liability management strategy and drive the forecasting of net investment income. You will analyze portfolios, interest-rate risks, and liquidity needs to optimize the balance sheet and support capital planning.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance or quantitative field; graduate degree preferred.
• CFA or actuarial designation preferred.
• 5+ years in investments and/or insurance company experience; ALM exposure favored.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL; knowledge of data processing and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Shape ALM strategies by analyzing investment portfolios, interest rate risks, and liquidity needs.
• Collaborate with investment teams on long-term asset allocation and risk insights.
• Lead Net Investment Income forecasting and quarterly forecast assumptions.
• Modernize reporting using Power BI/Tableau and automate legacy models.
• Maintain asset modeling for pricing, ALM, and capital forecasting.
• Partner with teams to add asset classes in the ALFA model and generate results.
