Job summary

EmergencyMD is seeking an Allied Trade Specialist (Welding and Machining) Instructor to join our training team supporting soldiers at the US Army Ordnance School. The role emphasizes delivering maintenance, welding, and machining instruction in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

You will review lesson plans, assist as Assistant Instructor, develop revisions to POIs and Training Support Packages, and provide hands-on demonstrations, labs, and remediation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction in maintenance management and soldering skills, fundamentals of electricity, installation and paralleling, performing Field and Sustainment Level Maintenance on tactical precise power generation sets up through 200kw, basic engine design, and functioning of internal combustion engines and associated equipment
• Review and update academic and doctrinal publications; and maintain vehicles/equipment supported by academic instruction
• Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks
• Review and provide pen and ink changes to lesson plans, cross-train, arrange and engage in instructional preparation and testing material, serve as an Assistant Instructor in classes
• Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction
• Assist in updating technical content of lesson material
• Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages
• Provide remediation training, maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and/or assist with outdoor training site maintenance
