Job summary

United States Army is seeking an Instructor/Writer for Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist phases 1 and 2. You will provide academic instruction, update publications, and maintain training equipment, delivering classroom and lab sessions per course materials and SOPs.

You will act as SME in revising POIs, Lesson Plans, and TSPs, while conducting critiques and remediation training. Strong instructional skills and familiarity with Blackboard are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist MOS or Ammunition Specialist.
  • Completed ALC or BNCOC.
  • Familiar with Army regs, DA Pamphlets, and SOPs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient with MS Office and classroom tech.
  • Instructional skills and subject-matter proficiency.
  • CFDIC within the last five years; ISCTC experience.
  • Familiarity with Blackboard for course delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic instruction and update publications.
  • Conduct classroom/lab conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises.

  • Pen-and-ink changes to lesson plans between courses; cross-training.
  • Develop revisions of POIs, Lesson Plans, and Training Support Packages (TSPs).

Job description

Instructor/Writer Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist and Ammunition Specialist Phase 1 and Phase 2 (89A/89B)

DESCTIPTION Provide academic instruction; review and update academic and doctrinal publications; and maintain equipment supported by academic instruction. Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks. Conduct student critiques in accordance with United States Army (USA) ODS Standard Operating Procedures. Between scheduled courses, the following tasks will be completed: making pen and ink changes to lesson plans, cross-training (attending classes), arranging and engaging in instructional preparation and testing material, reviewing and providing pen and ink changes to lesson plans to the Government for change considerations, serving as an Assistant Instructor in classes. Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction. Assist in updating technical content of lesson material in accordance with this PWS. Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages (TSPs). Provide remediation training, maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and/or assist with outdoor training site maintenance.

Requirements
  • Graduate of Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist MOS or the Ammunition Specialist
  • Completed Advance Leader Course (ALC) or the former Basic NCO Course (BNCOC).
  • Familiar with Army publications including regulations, DA Pamphlets, and Standing Operating Procedures.as well as appropriate DOD regulations/guidance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Agility and dexterity, long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasion
  • Proficient with MS office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Knowledgeable of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding MOS- specific training
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Instructional skills and technical proficiency in the subject(s) assigned
  • Knowledge and performance-based tests to score a 90% or better,
  • Army Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC) within the last five (5) years
  • Installation Staff and Contractors Training Course (ISCTC)
