Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a travel assignment to provide prescribed medications and pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, from 07/03/2026 to 10/02/2026 (13 weeks), with days shift 8a-4p; travel-ready duties include mentoring staff and ensuring regulatory compliance, HIPAA and budget support.
This position contributes to the fulfillment of Thayer County Health Services vision and mission by providing prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals according to professional standards and practices.
Reports to Retail Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy.
Days; Non-Exempt, Full Time.
Pharmacy degree from an American Council for pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited school of pharmacy and licensed through the successful passage of a licensure exam in accordance with National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. PharmD preferred. Three years of retail experience as a Pharmacist preferred. Must have good communication skills; both written and verbal. Requires current state license to practice pharmacy.
Maintains and promotes good health practices, conforms to TCHS procedures and policies, and performs all duties as described within the scope of licensure. Does not discuss patient matters outside the clinical setting, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Understands and complies with Thayer County Health Services Compliance Program, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Manual, and all supporting policies. Participates in education and training programs regarding compliance as required. Demonstrates formal greetings, accepts new responsibilities, cooperates with change implementation, dresses in a neat, clean uniform, maintains high personal hygiene, and demonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence through a We Care philosophy with all patients, visitors, and staff.
Indoor, smoke-free, climate-controlled environment. Possible exposure to unpleasant odors, fumes, liquids, and chemicals; moderate noise level. Possible exposure to biohazardous materials and communicable diseases; frequent contact with doctors, patients, families, and employees of other departments. Pharmacy staff preparing or administering hazardous drugs may be exposed to these agents in the air or on surfaces, contaminated clothing, medical equipment, patient excreta, and other surfaces. Workplace exposures to hazardous drugs have been linked to health effects such as skin rashes, adverse reproductive outcomes, and possibly leukemia and other cancers. All pharmacy staff are required to be fitted annually for a filtered respirator.
