Job Title: RRT
Location: Oregon, MO
Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $45 - $48/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a RRT for a temporary assignment in Oregon, MO. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a RRT:

• Evaluate patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary issues by reviewing their medical history, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood gases, chest X-rays, and pulmonary function tests
• Administer treatments to improve breathing, such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, chest physiotherapy, and inhalation therapy (e.g., nebulizer treatments)
• Set up and monitor equipment like ventilators, oxygen tanks, CPAP machines, and other respiratory devices; ensure proper function and maintenance of equipment
• Respond to emergency situations like respiratory failure, asthma attacks, or trauma, providing immediate life-saving interventions
• Educate patients and families on managing chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, and sleep apnea; teach proper techniques for using respiratory devices and medications
• Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients with respiratory conditions
• Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress; document any changes in the patient's respiratory condition or treatment plan
• Assist patients in pulmonary rehabilitation programs designed to improve respiratory function, increase exercise tolerance, and reduce symptoms
• Work 3-12H day shifts with a minimum of 35 guaranteed hours and scheduling of 36 hours per week
• Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications including CRT or RRT credential through the NBRC
• Demonstrate proficiency in using respiratory equipment and technology
• Apply strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology related to respiratory care
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in emergency situations
