Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment in Harrisonville, MO. Schedule is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 3 shifts.

This role offers a chance to extend the contract based on performance and staffing needs. The clinician will evaluate patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary issues, administer treatments, configure and monitor ventilators, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualificações

• RRT or CRT credentials and active state licensure required.

Job Title: RRT

Location: Harrisonville, MO

Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $46 - $50/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a RRT for a temporary assignment in Harrisonville, MO. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a RRT:

• Evaluate patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary issues by reviewing medical history, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood gases, chest X-rays, and pulmonary function tests
• Administer treatments to improve breathing, such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, chest physiotherapy, and inhalation therapy (e.g., nebulizer treatments)
• Set up and monitor equipment like ventilators, oxygen tanks, CPAP machines, and other respiratory devices
• Ensure proper function and maintenance of respiratory equipment
• Respond to emergency situations like respiratory failure, asthma attacks, or trauma, providing immediate life‑saving interventions
• Educate patients and families on managing chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, and sleep apnea
• Teach proper techniques for using respiratory devices and medications
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients with respiratory conditions
• Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress
• Document any changes in the patient's respiratory condition or treatment plan
• Assist patients in pulmonary rehabilitation programs designed to improve respiratory function, increase exercise tolerance, and reduce symptoms
• Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications, including CRT or RRT credentials through the NBRC
