Touchette Regional Hospital - Main Campus in Alorton, Illinois is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment with the possibility to extend. The schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week, at a pay rate of $56–$60 per hour.

The assignment includes benefits and the chance to extend based on performance. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, collaborating on treatment plans, and operating ventilators and related respiratory equipment.

Competenze

• RRT credentialing and active licensure in Illinois.
• ACLS and BLS current or within 3 months of starting.
• Registration with NBRC or AARC in good standing.

Mansioni

• Interview and examine patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests and monitor patient progress.
• Administer oxygen and manage ventilators and inhaled therapies.

Job Title: RRT
Location: Alorton, Illinois
Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $56 - $60/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a RRT for a temporary assignment in Alorton, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a RRT:

• Interview and examine patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders


• Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans


• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity


• Treat patients using a variety of methods, including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications


• Monitor and record patients' progress


• Teach patients how to take medications and use equipment, such as ventilators


• Administer oxygen and manage mechanical ventilators


• Administer drugs to the lungs and monitor cardiopulmonary systems


• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed


• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in patient care delivery


• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


• Obtain ACLS certification within 3 months of job offer acceptance


• Maintain current Illinois State License to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)


• Maintain current and valid Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care or AARC


• Assist in training and precepting new hire employees


• Prioritize duties for timely completion of routine, scheduled, and stat procedures


• Perform all other duties as assigned
