Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is hiring a Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Oro Valley, Arizona. The role requires holding an active PT license in the state, EMR proficiency, and ability to manage patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, supervising support staff, and coordinating with physicians. The position includes benefits and is paid hourly at $46–$49. Potential extension after the contract term.

Qualifications

Job Title: PT
Location: Oro Valley, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $46 - $49/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a temporary assignment in Oro Valley, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a PT:

• Hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work
• Maintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary
• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries for patient files
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and other persons to ensure quality patient care
• Correspond with co-workers and other offices via phone, fax, and email
• Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc.
• Ensure patients are comfortable and answer questions when necessary
• Work closely with the front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up
• Possess computer skills necessary to complete job requirements including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR
• Make independent decisions regarding patient care
• Be involved in the business marketing and referral process when necessary
• Follow HIPAA policy and procedures
• Be familiar with PT billing policy and procedures regarding Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
• Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services
• Maintain physical mobility, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patients with transferring, and provide stand-by assistance and recovery with patient walking safety
• Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with federal and state law and general principles of professionalism
• Access protected health information only to the extent necessary to complete job duties
• Report any concerns regarding patient privacy policies and observed violations to the designated Privacy Officer
• Actively participate in Company privacy training
• Communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients, and others in accordance with Company policy
• Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations
