Job Description:

Role Purpose

The Alliance Solution Leader (ASL) will be responsible for providing sales support, solution development leadership, and Go-to-Market (GTM) efforts through the Partner Alliance (Adobe) to grow Merkle’s services business. The ASL will also drive Merkle-influenced software revenue within the Adobe Partnership. The role involves leading Merkle’s relationships for pre-sales and engineering support across Adobe alliance product areas. The position reports to the Chief Growth Architect, Merkle Alliances.

This is a remote role. Employees within 90 minutes of our NY, MI, or IL offices may expect 1 day a week onsite. Approximately 25% travel to client sites and conferences.

You are:

  • Experienced in supporting partner-side selling motions and programs.
  • Skilled in co-selling, co-developing solutions, and GTM collateral with Adobe.
  • Familiar with navigating the Adobe ecosystem.
  • Capable of creating and demonstrating solutions in client settings.
  • Initiative-taking, persuasive, a self-starter, and quick learner.
  • Comfortable working with SVP and C-Level leadership.
  • A well-connected professional with an active network/"Rolodex".

You will:

  • Develop strong partnerships with Adobe partner managers, driving sales, solution delivery, and GTM activities with their sales and marketing teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert supporting new sales at existing clients and new logos.
  • Train and support Adobe Partner Sales Managers to align opportunities with trusted service providers.
  • Execute duties aligned with the approved sales plan for Merkle services and partner-influenced revenue.
  • Contribute to the joint GTM narrative between Merkle and Adobe.
  • Support internal teams in identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Participate in GTM activities, deal registration, and manage Merkle’s virtual presence with the partner.
  • Help elevate the Partner alliance across the Merkle Alliance Partner framework: Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Delivery.
  • Contribute to developing alliance partner offerings and GTM strategies.
  • Manage the Adobe Power Map and promote Merkle’s thesis within the Adobe team.
  • Design solutions tailored to client needs and position Adobe solutions as part of strategic offerings.
  • Track opportunities in CRM portals to monitor progress toward performance goals.

Outcomes

This role is pivotal in driving wins, developing relationships, and evolving solutions at strategic accounts to support our alliance program’s success.

  • Position Merkle as a leader within the Adobe Alliance partner ecosystem.
  • Navigate Adobe’s organization to secure funding through Marketing Development Funds (MDF) for joint GTM efforts.
  • Achieve alliance metrics in pipeline, revenue, and win rate.
  • Advance the maturity of the Alliance Partner across various dimensions.
  • Operate within budgetary guidelines where applicable.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience, especially with alliance partners like Adobe.
  • Experience in large strategic implementations in systems integrators or experiential agencies.
  • Proven ability to navigate Adobe’s complex organization and co-sell effectively.
  • Experience engaging with clients in both new logo (Day 1) and existing (Day 2) sales scenarios.
  • 3-5 years in digital media, marketing, or alliance sales.
  • Knowledge of marketing technology and ad tech.
  • Understanding of the digital agency marketplace.
  • Ability to develop strong internal relationships across business units.
  • Proactive, interpersonal, and collaborative skills to interact across teams.

The annual base salary range is $163,000 - $263,350, with placement based on experience and other factors. The position includes benefits such as health insurance, 401k, paid time off, holidays, and parental leave.
