The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a driven sales business leader who designs a customized customer experience tailored to the needs of each account and Health Care Provider (HCP). Acting as the primary Point of Contact (PoC) in our customer-centric approach, the Territory Account Specialist engages with clients to identify mutual priorities and address their needs by problem-solving and leveraging Novartis resources to enhance patient outcomes. The TAS possesses expertise in clinical selling, account selling, access navigation, problem solving, team orchestration/collaboration, and omni-channel engagement.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify mutual priorities and develop strategic plans to enhance product demand, address key partners' needs, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Encourage clinical discussions to motivate customer advocacy and collaborate with the account team to overcome barriers.
  • Leverage market insights, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Conduct planning meetings with stakeholders to resolve complex issues and collaborate across departments.
  • Analyze market data to understand the local business landscape and lead virtual and in-person customer interactions.
  • Use omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement through various channels and in-person visits.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues and home-office teams to meet customer needs and provide access support.
  • Provide timely access assistance and coordinate with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) to address customer needs.
  • Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales roles within the last 5 years, and the ability to travel 60-80% within the territory.
  • Reside within the territory or within 50 miles of its border, with a valid driver’s license.

Leveling Guidelines:

  • Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years’ experience
  • Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years’ experience
  • Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years’ experience

Driving is an Essential Function: The role requires a valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively. Reasonable accommodations are available for medical restrictions.

Compensation: Salary ranges vary by level, e.g., Territory Account Specialist: $93,800–$174,200/year. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include bonuses, stock units, medical, 401(k), and paid time off.

Training: Successful completion of initial training is required, typically within 8 hours/day over 40 hours/week.
