Job summary

Chicago ENT - Advanced Center for Specialty Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver prompt, compassionate patient care in an ambulatory ENT setting. This role requires travel to other clinics and reports to the Lead Allergy MA.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and nurses, maintaining exam rooms, taking vital signs, injections/immunizations, and cross-training across ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred.
• Previous surgical experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and RNs with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in ambulatory care.
• Maintain patient flow and the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms.
• Perform basic skills such as vital signs and point-of-care testing.
• Administer IM injections, immunizations, and OTC medications under physician direction.
• Cross-train over time in ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
• Travel between all clinic locations with assigned provider.
• Lead schedule may be up to 40 hours per week; hours may be 7 AM–7 PM, 5 days including Saturdays.

Medical Assistant

Medical Assistants will partner with the providers of Chicago ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. Chicago ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role will report to the Lead Allergy MA and be required to travel to other clinics.

The salary range for this role is $18-$22hr.

• The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.


• The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.


• The Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.


• The Medical Assistant will be cross trained over time in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.


• The Medical Assistant must be available to work scheduled hours travel between all office locations where their assigned provider hosts clinic.


• The MA Lead will assign a weekly schedule not to exceed 40 hours


• The schedule may be between the hours of 7AM to 7PM.


• The schedule may be 5 days including Monday to Saturday.


• The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

WAGE

$18-22.00
