Job summary

Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Clinical Services Coordinator in the Allergy and Immunology division to coordinate scheduling and provide administrative support for the Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) program, the Food Challenge Program, and the Immunology program.

The role focuses on managing complex scheduling workflows, collaborating with providers and leadership to improve patient access and support divisional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred; minimum four years of related administrative experience.
• Excellent leadership, organizational and analytical skills with teamwork ability.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical education programs preferred.
• Experience in an Academic Medical Center preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop organized scheduling processes for subspecialty patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Serve as the primary resource for provider problem solving and performance improvement initiatives.
• Act as point of contact for referring practices and coordinate new patient referrals and scheduling.
• Verify benefit eligibility, precertification needs, and payer approvals for coordinated care.
• Coordinate and promote department events and meetings with staff and leadership.
• Monitor division progress and address questions or concerns, including regulatory and quality improvement.
