Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a reimbursement and patient access specialist to support payer programs and integrate them into physician offices. You will educate providers and staff, analyze reimbursement issues, and collaborate with hub and NPC teams to optimize patient pull-through.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 3–5+ years in reimbursement or pharma, experience with buy-and-bill, and willingness to travel 60–80% within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years in third-party reimbursement or pharmaceutical industry in managed care, clinical support, or sales.
• Experience with specialty pharmacy buy-and-bill and/or specialty distributors.
• Experience with coding, billing, and office support programs.
• Prior account management or complex account experience (payer landscape, high patient volume, large systems).
• Knowledge of managed care/government/federal payers and IDNs/integrated health systems.
• Team-oriented collaborator.
• Reside within territory or within 60 miles commuting distance; travel 60–80%.

Responsibilities

• Support patient access by educating providers and staff and integrating programs into office workflows.
• Analyze payer and reimbursement issues, drug acquisition/inventory management, and patient reimbursement trends.
• Partner with hub on patient case management; track cases, resolve issues, educate staff; review patient info when requested.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with NPC associates to share insights on customer needs and barriers.
• Maintain compliance with NPC policies; handle Patient Identifiable Information (PII) appropriately.
