Job summary

South Carolina ENT (SCENT), affiliated with SENTA Partners, seeks an Extract Technician to prepare and compound allergen immunotherapy extracts under physician guidance. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance while supporting patient treatments.

Responsibilities include measuring and mixing extracts, labeling, inventory management, and quality control. A data-entry background and EMR familiarity are essential, with certifications preferred for clinical practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of data-entry experience is required.
• 2–3 years of data-entry experience is preferred.
• 1 year prior experience in a medical practice is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems.
• Knowledge of allergy testing methods, immunotherapy protocols, clinical procedures, aseptic techniques, and related medical terminology.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Dexterous/strong hand skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare allergen immunotherapy extracts according to physician orders, following established protocols and safety standards.
• Measure, mix, and compound allergenic extracts with precision and accuracy.
• Label and package extracts while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a sterile and organized workspace with cleanliness standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory of allergen extracts with timely replenishment.
• Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records and logs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to allergen compounding.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare extracts for patient treatments.
• Assist with calibrating and maintaining equipment used in extract preparation.
• Participate in training to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes.
