Job summary

AMR All-transit- Arverne is recruiting Access-A-Ride Drivers. Hired employees will participate in a 3-day CDL prep course, are paid while in training, and then begin orientation and road tests before full-time shifts. Current shifts run 1pm–11pm, seven days a week, with weekends mandatory.

Arverne location, benefits through a union, and CDL training available. Earn while you learn with EWYL and progress to higher pay after graduation, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient

• Valid NYC State Driver’s License.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Must be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Transport disabled passengers to and from their locations.
• Provide door to door service for passengers.
• Special care and sensitivity needed for each passenger.

About the Program:

The eligible candidate will be hired as an employee and compensated while in attendance of our CDL prep course. The Academy is a 3-day course to provide the necessary information and training to qualify the employee to take the NYS CDL test. Upon successful completion of the class and passing the exam, the employee will begin their new hire orientation and complete a road test. Once the road test is completed, the employee will be assigned their full-time shifts.

We’re hiring Access-A-Ride Drivers that will respond to requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients. Great service begins with great people and real experience which is why we put so much into choosing the best people to join our team.

Currently afternoon shifts 1pm- 11pm 7 days a week for full time. MUST WORK WEEKENDS!!!
