Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a professional truck driver responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA regulations. The role requires pre-trip and post-trip inspections, meticulous record-keeping, and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform loading/unloading duties, support local pick-up and delivery routes, and maintain excellent customer service while meeting tight schedules in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age with 1 year driving experience per FMCSA.
• Must possess valid Class A CDL.
• Must be registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domicile Service Center.
• Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Must be able to operate a forklift (7,500 lb capacity).
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer in compliance with FMCSA laws and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain records and report maintenance issues.
• Load/unload freight and assist with dock work as needed.
• Provide safe and courteous service to customers and the public.
• Meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
