Sosi1 seeks an intelligence collection planning professional to develop and coordinate collection strategies and plans to meet information gaps for the office. The role requires knowledge of SIGINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, GEOINT, and related processes in the DoD context.

You will validate requirements, support strategic boards, coordinate collection operations, and advise leadership on GEOINT information services (GIMS).

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Intelligence, Security Studies, International Relations).
  • Minimum 5 years of intelligence planning/operational experience in DoD or IC.

Job description

This position is contingent upon award of contract

Essential Job Duties
  • Provides requisite expertise and assistance in the creation of collection strategies, postures and plans to meet the office's intelligence and information gaps.
  • Possesses experience, is knowledgeable in all source intelligence collection management systems, databases and processes (e.g. SIGINT, HUMINT, MASINT, CI, OSINT, IMINT, GEOINT, TECHINT) and is familiar with DIA's organizational structure, and roles.
  • Crosswalks tactical requirements to strategic objectives.
  • Assists in validating, coordinating, drafting, submitting, and maintaining formal intelligence requirements and information requests through the intelligence community. Uses intelligence collection and requirement tools and databases, to include Coliseum, HOTR, NHRTC, and OSCAR-MS.
  • Participates in strategic boards, bureaus, committees, centers, and working groups (B2C2WG) in order to effectively assist in the planning of standing and ad hoc collection efforts, de-conflict and coordinate intelligence and information needs and requirements, that cross organizational boundaries, and facilitate joint collection efforts at the strategic and operational levels.
  • Assists in managing requests for collection operations.
  • Coordinates asset and resource availability.
  • Develop operational plans to satisfy intelligence requirements.
  • De-conflicts time sensitive requirements among mission partners.
  • Coordinates non-organic collection activities supporting the mission.
  • Validates, de-conflicts, and consolidates Intelligence requirements for the specified office, and other offices if necessary.
  • Provides subject matter and technical expertise in GEOINT Information Services (GIMS) for the development and sustainment of a GEOINT collection requirements portfolio and associated management function within the office.
  • Develops Collection Management strategies for the office and collaborate with mission partners for appropriate mission alignment.
  • Documents Operating Instructions (OIs) for office wide programs and initiatives as assigned by the government.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, National Security, Military Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in intelligence planning, operational planning, or related functions within the DoD, Intelligence Community, or military environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present planning packages to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Direct experience supporting DIA, Combatant Commands, or Joint Staff planning functions.
  • Professional military education (e.g., Joint Professional Military Education, Command and General Staff College) or equivalent.
