Job summary

Winter Park Resort is seeking a Seasonal coach to mentor participants aged 6 to 15 in All Mountain Programs, helping them set and reach goals in advanced skiing. You will inspire enjoyment of sport and guide personal development with structured plans and ongoing feedback.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a positive training environment, with on-mountain coaching and possible travel to events. Experience at USSA/PSIA level is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Advanced skiing/snowboarding skills demonstrated to the Development Director.
• USSA Level 100 or PSIA Level 1 equivalent preferred.
• At least one season coaching experience in USSA/collegiate/high school is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily training for participants.
• Create and monitor a personal development plan for each participant.
• Maintain high safety standards in all training environments.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Provide daily positive feedback and submit mid-season and year-end evaluations.
• Communicate needs to Development Director and participate in staff meetings.
• Assist with events and races as required.
