Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Systems Engineer for the Coos Bay, Oregon location to oversee day-to-day program systems, provide technical expertise, and ensure readiness of equipment for 24/7 operations.

You will coordinate with agencies, troubleshoot outages, review procedures, and support 24/7 watch duties while maintaining safe and compliant operations. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 3 years with a master's in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience.
• Must have a background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or Telecommunication disciplines.
• Experience with management of electronic equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, and calibration.
• Must have experience in Safety Procedures when working with electronic equipment.
• Ability to identify and correct emergent problems involving technical and/or facility-related equipment, systems, and components.
• Experience following quality assurance steps/checks.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Provides technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
• Performs duties as Power Control Station/ Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO) oversees the conduct of routine and preventative maintenance.
• Informs the chain of command of any substantive changes to routine system configuration or capability.
• Drafts daily/monthly/weekly watch bills in support of operational requirements.
