Job summary

Cubic Corporation is seeking a Field System Engineer to act as the senior onsite technical authority at Ford Island, Hawaii, supporting DoW AISR FMV mission systems. You will troubleshoot, perform hands-on systems engineering, and sustain CDS across distributed architectures.

The role requires deep technical acumen, cross-domain collaboration with DoW/IC, and the ability to mentor Tier I/II staff while maintaining 24/7 operational readiness with IA/RMF compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics, computer science, information systems, or equivalent; 7-8 years relevant experience.
• Experience supporting DoW or military operational environments preferred.
• Ability to operate in remote OCONUS field settings adhering to field ops standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-centric approach.
• Proven ability to partner across diverse technical and leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite technical SME for large FMV architectures, diagnosing, recovering, and optimizing mission systems.
• Lead end-to-end engineering support for software, networks, middleware, virtualization, and Linux services.
• Own CDS configuration, sustainment, and secure data transfer across classified networks.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for 24/7 operation.
