Cesar Chavez Foundation is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Janitor to join the team at the Albuquerque property. You will report to the Property Manager and help keep the building in excellent condition while handling resident service requests promptly.

Responsibilities include performing maintenance, janitorial tasks, inspections, and coordinating with contractors. The role requires safe work practices, clear communication, and teamwork in a dynamic housing environment.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English.
• Communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures.
• Able to identify and solve practical problems with limited instructions.
• Work well with others.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsabilités

• Perform property maintenance and repairs (plastering, painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical).
• Carry out janitorial duties in common areas and vacant units as needed.
• Prioritize and complete resident service requests with Property Manager guidance.
• Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate and monitor vendors or outside contractors.
• Inspect equipment daily and report repairs.
• Maintain logs and paperwork (PM schedules, work orders, inventories).
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies and assist at other properties when needed.
