Job summary

Quantitative Brokers LLC in New York is seeking an Algorithmic Execution Desk Analyst to join our fast-growing fintech team. The role focuses on real-time issue resolution, market condition interpretation, and close collaboration with tech, trading, and clients.

You will be a multifaceted professional who can switch from partnering with engineers to testing algo enhancements, and who can explain differences between our algos to a client or reconcile trades with an FCM, at short notice.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial markets and instruments such as VWAP/TWAP, order types, and volatility.
• Ability to troubleshoot real-time trading systems under pressure.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for quick information relay.
• Experience bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

At QB the Execution Desk is revered as a “white glove” support team that is able to resolve real-time issues in an urgent fashion, understand and relay market conditions on the fly, and have a deep understanding of our algorithmic suite. Desk members need to be a multifaceted individual who can switch from partnering with tech to test a new algo enhancement, discussing the differences between each of our offered algos to a client, to working with an FCM to reconcile a client’s trade; all at a drop of a dime.

Required Skills:

• Strong personal interest in financial markets; ideally general market knowledge (VWAP/TWAP, order types, volatility)

Suggested / Preferred Skills:

• Linux command line skills (trace logs, update configs, investigate host utilization, troubleshooting skills)
• Experience working in global, 24-hour electronic trading support team
