Job summary

Analogic is seeking an Experienced Engineer to develop algorithms for detection, classification, image analysis, and AI/ML applications. You will design tools for data analysis, testing, validation, and model improvement while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to move concepts from research to production.

You will research emerging AI technologies, apply them to aviation security risk detection, and document results for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for detection, classification, image analysis, and AI/ML applications.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to move concepts from research to production.
• Document technical work and communicate results to a variety of stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative solutions that enhance security screening capabilities.

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Experience

• Academic, internship, research, or project experience in AI, machine learning, computer vision, image processing, or software development.
• Familiarity with algorithm development and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience applying algorithms, machine learning models, or data analysis techniques.
• Experience developing technical solutions in academic or professional environments.

Experienced Engineer (5-8+ Years)

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithms or AI/ML solutions.
• Strong technical expertise in machine learning, computer vision, image processing, or related disciplines.
• Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership is a plus.

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
• Computer Vision & Image Processing
• Python, MATLAB, C++
• TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
• Windows and Linux development environments
• Explainable AI

Experience in aviation security, cargo screening, military systems, or threat detection applications is highly desirable.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Must be eligible to obtain applicable U.S. Government security vetting.
