BWI GROUP is seeking an Algorithm Engineer in the United States to create and improve algorithms for detection, prediction, and automated decisions in software and AI systems. You will bridge theory with practical code to ensure accurate and efficient performance.
Responsibilities include designing pattern recognition and optimization algorithms, coding in Python/C++/MATLAB, testing with real data, and collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
The Algorithm Engineer focuses on creating and improving algorithms that detect patterns, make predictions, or automate decisions in software and AI systems. They bridge theory (math, statistics, optimization) with practice (code, performance, integration) to ensure systems run accurately and efficiently.
Travel >5%, including visits to customers and suppliers as well as day trips to various manufacturing facilities as required and for training.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to use and understand Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint, Microsoft (email). This is additional to the computer skill requirements as stated in the requirement qualifications.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Good analytical and interpersonal skills; ability to work on a team and guide support personnel. Good teambuilding skills.
