Job summary

BASIS Ed Texas is seeking a qualified Algebra 2 & AP Statistics Teacher to join a bright, passionate team. The role ensures day-to-day exceptional education by preparing and facilitating lesson plans and implementing BASIS Curriculum with subject expertise.

Essential qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in the subject area (or 24+ credits with another degree) and an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or 24+ credits with other degree).
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide subject instruction on a higher level than grade-standard in an interactive learning environment.
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and build a professional community.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to boost academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement and responsibility.
• Support non-instructional functions such as Early Bird, Late Bird, and lunch.
• Maintain regular, full attendance and supervise students as assigned.
