# Alert Team RNRequisition ID: 189134Department: 200319 Alert TeamSchedule: Full Time - Eligible for BenefitsShift: NightCategory: NursingApply Now## Position PurposeThis position provides optimal care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of evidence based psychiatric nursing practice and the theory of human caring.## Nature and ScopeThe psychiatric registered nurse on the Alert Team must be able to work interdependently within a team framework and demonstrate competency with mental health/chemical dependency assessment and referral.The incumbent must provide optimal care through assessment, planning and evaluation of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their families.The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and must be able to initiate contact with internal and external resources on behalf of the client. Working knowledge of the 12-step recovery process, and the ability to empower clients to use their own internal resources as well as to access relevant external services is essential.This person must demonstrate the ability to work with patients and their families and various caregivers in different settings.
