Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge in Alexandria seeks an experienced Alcohol and Drug Counselor to deliver licensed treatment services to clients. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide both group and one-on-one counseling within a structured, compassionate program.

The role requires a Minnesota LADC license, ongoing CE, and the ability to work with clients facing mental health and addiction challenges.

Formación

• Current alcohol and drug counseling license in Minnesota.
• Continuing education in current treatment concepts to maintain licensure.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
• Comfortable working with people facing mental health and addiction challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with time management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, staff, and leadership.
• Must meet MnTC licensure requirements BHHT LADC Licensure Requirements.
• Must meet Mn Statutes 245G.11 MN Statutes requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and modify program design to meet licensure requirements and client needs.
• Complete comprehensive assessment and ASAM-based summary within five days after service initiation.
• Develop and amend individualized treatment plans with goals and referral resources.
• Provide case management and document treatment activities accurately and promptly.
• Deliver group therapy and individual counseling for clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Facilitate psychoeducation on addiction and recovery topics.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and DHS regulations.
