Job summary

STG Pacific LLC in Alaska seeks a Vertical Construction Project Estimator to lead bidding opportunities and prepare detailed cost estimates for vertical construction and federal projects. The role involves quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, subcontractor evaluation, and development of complete project estimates.

You will work with Project Managers to align cost models with project requirements, budget constraints, and logistical considerations, including design/build opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required.
• Four years of related project management or estimating experience.
• Experience with federal construction projects (USACE/NAVFAC) is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project-related software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 15% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify bidding opportunities in collaboration with Business Development and Project Management.
• Review RFP packages and clarify scope with clients.
• Prepare complete cost estimates including quantity takeoffs, labor, materials, equipment, and logistics.
• Analyze labor/material requirements for self-perform vs. subcontracting decisions.
• Lead turnover meetings with PMs and support budgeting and pricing change orders.
