Job summary

STG Pacific LLC in Alaska seeks a Vertical Construction Project Estimator to identify bidding opportunities, prepare complete cost estimates, and manage preconstruction activities for vertical construction and federal projects.

You will lead quantity takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor evaluation, and collaborate with PMs to align estimates with budgets and schedules. Some travel to project sites in Alaska may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Four years of related project management or estimating experience.
• Experience with federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, or other federal branches).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project-related software.

Responsibilities

• Identify bidding opportunities with Business Development and Project Management.
• Prepare complete cost estimates including quantity takeoffs, labor, materials, equipment, and logistics.
• Analyze labor and material requirements for cost-efficiency of self-performing vs subcontracting.
• Review RFP packages and clarify scope with clients and PMs.
• Lead turnover meetings for successful bids and support project budgets.
