Job summary

Geotech Drilling is seeking a motivated Drill Assistant to support Surface Exploration Diamond Drilling operations for a remote camp project in Alaska. The role requires drill support experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in rugged, remote environments with familiarity in helicopter moves.

Location is Remote Dry Camp, Alaska, with a June 2026 start and a 5-month duration. Candidates must pass pre-employment tests and safety training; compensation offered includes

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in the drilling industry.
• Proven experience in helicopter supported operations.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
• Complete and pass a pre‑employment drug & alcohol test.
• Complete and pass project specific safety courses.
• Experience working in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.
• Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
• Maintain and organize inventory levels of materials, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the Driller, client and other team members where required.
• Regular and repetitive lifts of 50‑90 lbs.
