Job summary

The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Social Services Associate located in Juneau, Alaska. This role provides administrative support to the Administrative Officer and Administrative Assistant 2, including personnel and payroll functions for the OCS Southeast Region.

Applicants must be Alaska Residents and will undertake background checks, court calendar maintenance, procurement tasks, and basic court document

Qualifications

• One year of any combination of postsecondary or vocational education and/or experience in assisting clients, customers, the general public, or other staff in the explanation and application of guidelines, policies, or services.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support to the Administrative Officer and Administrative Assistant 2, including assisting with personnel and payroll functions for the OCS Southeast Region.
• Completes background checks, maintains the court calendar, and serves as backup for new-hire orientation and maintaining employee records.
• Assists with procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and One-Card auditing as needed.
• Supports SSA staff occasionally by helping with routine case monitoring, transportation, gathering supporting information, and preparing basic court documents as assigned.
• Provides general administrative and facility support to the office and assists Licensing with occasional administrative tasks.
