Job summary

E&E Foods Inc. seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead Pacific Star Seafoods in Kenai, Alaska. You will oversee production, quality control, regulatory compliance, staffing, licensing, and maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient operations during a demanding processing season.

This hands-on leadership role requires building relationships with the fishing fleet, managing capital plans, and delivering long-term profitability while living in remote Alaska through peak season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in a seafood processing facility, including direct supervisory responsibility.
• Broad working knowledge of seafood processing operations with depth in at least one area (production, quality assurance, maintenance, or fleet relations).
• Working knowledge of HACCP, sanitation, and food-safety regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a large seasonal workforce in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to live and work at a remote Alaska facility through the processing season, including extended hours and seven-day workweeks at peak.

Responsibilities

• Direct all production, support, and living facilities at Pacific Star Seafoods.
• Plan staffing, equipment readiness, and product flow through pre-season, peak season, and post-season.
• Manage repair, maintenance, and capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
• Research and propose technologies and methods that increase production and recovery, reduce cost, protect product quality, and improve safety and sanitation.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, Alaska DEC, USDC and other applicable requirements, including HACCP, sanitation, and food-safety programs.
