Job summary

Fairbanks Native Association is seeking a Recovery Specialist to provide peer-based support and coordinate operations for Alaska Native and American Indian individuals seeking long-term recovery from SUD. You will help identify recovery services, develop personalized plans, and navigate care transitions.

You will bridge direct client support with program operations by assisting leadership, maintaining EHR data integrity, and compiling grant reports.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
  • Minimum two years of personal recovery/sobriety experience.
  • Two years of direct behavioral health support experience with AN/AI population preferred.
  • Active Peer Support Certification through ACBHC or eligible within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and provide operational support to program leadership.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annual reports with grant data requirements.
  • Enter data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and maintain billing records.
  • Support consumers across the continuum of care including MOUD and post-treatment follow-up.
  • Collaborate with consumers and teams to develop recovery plans and aftercare.
  • Facilitate peer recovery services and recovery-focused groups.
  • Manage a caseload of up to ten consumers with mentoring and advocacy.
  • Engage with consumers during residential treatment and transitions.
  • Coordinate links to housing, transportation, healthcare, employment, and culturally specific care.
  • Promote Naloxone access and MOUD education; maintain confidentiality.
  • Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
