Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Drilling Engineering Intern to join the Wells Exploration Team in Anchorage, Alaska for Summer 2027. You’ll support well planning, data analysis, and the creation of dashboards and tools that track KPIs, schedules, and costs.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, gain hands-on drilling experience, and present findings to leadership at the internship’s conclusion. This role is ideal for Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering students aiming to enter upstream

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Current junior-level student; graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2028 encouraged.
• Minimum GPA 3.0; verified via unofficial transcript.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future; OPT/CPT/F-1 sponsorship not available.]
• Power BI experience preferred, including dashboard development and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Support drilling engineers with well planning, engineering calculations, data analysis, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track drilling KPIs, schedules, costs, tendering progress, and performance metrics.
• Create Excel-based tools, reports, and project databases.
• Assist with well programs, engineering reports, and project updates.
• Organize offset well data and benchmarking from previous campaigns.
• Present project findings to Repsol leadership at internship end.
