Qualifications

  • Lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Three years of experience in early childhood or elementary classroom and/or three years in a home visiting program required.
  • Meet NCLB paraprofessional qualification requirements (48 semester hours, an associate's degree, or pass an approved competency test).
  • Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish two-way communication with community agencies and organizations for parents and children.
  • Establish and maintain schedules, coordinate activities for participating children.
  • Maintain and submit required records per department, district, and state standards.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
