Job summary

Synechron in New York is seeking an Application Support Analyst to ensure stability, performance, and day-to-day operation of Aladdin-integrated applications. You will work closely with investment operations, portfolio management, risk, technology, and vendor teams to investigate issues and support data flows.

The successful candidate will join a team that collaborates across IT and business units and will contribute to resolving incidents, performing root-cause analyses, and supporting data

Qualifications

• Five years of IT experience in application support or production support, preferably in financial services technology.
• Experience supporting financial services applications, investment management systems, or capital markets platforms.
• Hands-on experience supporting the Aladdin platform or Aladdin-integrated applications.
• Strong understanding of incident, problem, and change-management processes.
• Experience with SQL and data investigation.
• Familiarity with batch processing, job scheduling, file transfers, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize work in a time-sensitive production environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 production support for Aladdin-related applications, interfaces, workflows, and downstream systems.
• Monitor application jobs, data feeds, integrations, and scheduled processes.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to application functionality, data quality, performance, and system availability.
• Perform root-cause analysis and document corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and problems in accordance with IT service management processes.
• Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Support daily, monthly, and period-end investment operations activities.
• Validate market, security, portfolio, trade, reference, and accounting data across integrated systems.
• Coordinate with Aladdin support teams, technology vendors, and internal engineering teams when escalation is required.
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in release, deployment, patching, testing, and change-management activities.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and regression testing for system enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and process improvements.
• Participate in an on-call or out-of-hours support rota, where required
