Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN) required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in plans of care, and advocate for patients.
• Administer treatments and medications.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes and quality improvement.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
• Triage psychiatric patients that present to the ED and complete medical screening examinations.
• Consult on managing disruptive behavior and restraint issues, assess suicide/elopement risk.
