Job description

Organize and supervise a series of regularly scheduled, ongoing activities utilizing school recreation facilities during non-school hours and summer vacation periods as scheduled by principal or designee.

Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate from high school or general education degree.
  • Two to three months related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
  • Read and interpret procedures, policies and regulations, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisor, staff, and public.
Reasoning Ability
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of non-standard situations.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Lift and/or push 40 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Open and close recreational facilities, i.e., gym, pool, multi-purpose area, locker rooms, as scheduled and ensure building security, appropriate play and responsible behavior.
  • Distribute and collect supplies and/or equipment for various activities.
  • Maintain clean, orderly storage areas for supplies and equipment.
  • Notify the site administrator or plant manager of incidents, problems, or concerns.
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.
  • Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
