Job summary

Leidos Defense Group in San Diego, CA seeks an AIT Lead to manage shipboard alteration installation work packages from kitting through closeout. You will direct production planning, POA&M execution, tag-out coordination, and interfaces with the OSIC, Ship’s Force, customer, prime contractor, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of field installation experience.
• Advanced expertise in cable cutting, preparation, and installation; ability to route cables and document work.
• Ability to plan and oversee installation activities, lead personnel and subcontractors, and interpret drawings.
• Understanding of safety lockout/tag-out programs.
• Experience updating POA&M using scheduling tools like Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation planning and coordinate work packages to meet milestones.
• Maintain and update the installation POA&M with critical paths and resources.
• Coordinate with OSIC, Ship’s Force, customer, prime contractor, and subcontractors.
• Ensure QA checks, inspections, and closeout reports are completed.
• Provide technical training and oversight to subcontractor teams.
